Black Motherhood is a journey and there is no right or wrong way. I am writing my family's manual as it happens.
Black motherhood has changed so much from my personal experience. Looking back on my childhood, a lot of mothers were surviving. They were in full on survival mode and did not have a way to put that experience into context.
Some women are down right shocked that a black woman can stay home and raise her kids.
So don’t believe the hype! CRUNCHY has been a black mama thing and will continue to be. Yes black women do THIS!

It’s been awhile but I’m back!
In NYC black women are 12x more likely to die of childbirth complications. Majority of these complications can be prevented but they aren’t, do to implicit bias, neglect and flat out racism.
